Western budget motels have the closest firm memory foam mattress to my own at home. And this one in Cold lake is exactly what I was hoping for when I booked. The staff is accommodating and friendly and it's a close walk to almost anything you need. They lock the doors at 11 and have to let you in if you come in after hours, but it's a small inconvenience to ensuring safety and security. Will definitely be back.

The rooms are clean, staff are nice but they have an 11pm curfew? You can't be out past 11pm or else you are locked out of building until 7am? So it's not so much a motel as it is a dormitory. Don't recommend if you have and reason to be running late.

Some of the worst beds I've ever experienced in this type of industry. Staff are fairly good and friendly. It's located in what seems like a rough part of town given the locals wandering around the area, didn't feel safe with vehicle(s) parked in the lot, although hadn't had an actual issue.

Advertised as pet friendly. When asking about it I was told they have only one pet friendly room that was already occupied.

Quick check in . Reasonable.Clean and no problems. I was happy to warm up with fireplace as I had just came from too much airconditioning in Pizza Hut. I was frozen! Room is pretty much the same as I remember staying one in Red Deer. Bed seems a little hard but not enough to stop a good sleep. 4 people could stay but 2 coffee cups and glasses Three towels but still that is trivial stuff. Just need to ask for more. No problems here Would stay again.

This place won’t let you check in after 11pm we where wanting 6 rooms around midnight we arrived in town and was told they already did night audit so they coul’t do anything for us wouldn’t recommend stayin here as I never had a front desk deny check in because it was after a 11pm even thow there was some one at front desk

I travel all over Alberta on business and stay at Western Budget when ever I can. Resently I was in Cold Lake and stayed at Western Budget. Only one complaint the lady at the front desk was pretty cold but other than that my stay was great. Large affordable rooms, clean quite and home like. I would recommend this hotel if you are ever in Cold Lake.

In Cold Lake in September and stayed at Western Budget Motel. Upon arrival was meet at desk by a very friendly front desk person. Was very efficient in checking me in and very helpful. The room was cheap under a hundred dollars. Very clean and we'll kept. Continental breakfast in morning was good and lots to eat ( comes with the room ). I would recommend Western Budget Motel in Cold Lake and would stay there again.
