Absolutely terrible company to work with, I recommend going with literally anybody else. After my initial quote (which I didn't receive until roughly 10 days after they came to look at the house) it was nothing but frustration getting things organized. Multiple weeks of calling the office practically every day asking for the documents my condo board needs for approval (specs sheet, electrical permit, and load assessment), only to finally get them the day before the scheduled install. I even took care of the placement diagram myself because of how long it was taking them to get back to me and my lack of trust it would be accurate.

Installers show up to perform the install and immediately say they can't do it because of a support beam in the way. They leave, I look around the house to see how my heating gets around the beam, and get them to come back to confirm it is doable. Which they do, but they reschedule for 2 weeks later.

2 weeks goes by and the installers show up again, without the original installer that I traced the route with (no longer with the company), so I have to go over it again. Before they start anything I double check they have the right unit with them, unsurprisingly they don't. They also don't have the coil kit because their office said it was a replacement and not a new install. They called the office and found out they don't have the right unit in stock. I was already fed up with them as a company but was on the home stretch and was sticking it out due to good reviews on their installers, but this was the last straw and I had them cancel the job and issue me a refund on my deposit.

The only nice thing I can say is when I requested the refund it was immediately issued, they had actually already processed it before I called because anybody could see this was the only logical conclusion. But their lack of organization and terrible communication even between their office and installers is outrageous. I have never dealt with such a poorly organized company in my entire life.

Called them at 8:45 AM, and they had a technician over by 10 AM. Diagnosed and fixed my furnace with a new part on the spot before heading off to save the next customer. Outstanding service and professionalism... Amazing company!

Installation service was very good and tidy. Post installation customer service is non-existent.

We had our AC installed, and received an invoice the day before the installation was done. The day after install, we read the instructions for payment, and paid. We also sent an email requesting some information on the bill itself. After a week of reaching out via different emails (including the original salesman, their billing department, and whatever email was no the website), followed by a week of reaching out via Facebook, we never received any follow up communication.

Shift Air considered a $7 anomaly enough to ghost us.

UPDATE: After originally posting this (September 2024), the owner did reach out via text message, and did ask to call me to discuss. I agreed, but after rescheduling twice, and then leaving an open invitation to call, gave up on waiting for him. I'd been ghosted again.

Shiftair replaced our furnace and installed central air conditioning. The representative showed up promptly, gave us a quote, and scheduled the installation right away. The crew that worked were very competent and worked quickly and efficiently. Downtime of our furnace was minimal - much better than the last time we installed one. We would highly recommend Shiftair to do your HVAC work.

I changed my review from a 4 star to a two star. Up until this fall we were very happy with Shift Air, but there has been a change in the business and since that change I have lost all confidence in Shift. We have since discontinued our maintenance program and we have gone to another service provider which we find is so much better. I'm sorry to sever our relationship but I just couldn't justify paying for poor service any longer.

We've been on Shift Air's membership plan for a few years now and have always been happy with their service. This month I noticed a small leak in our furnace and called to have someone look at it. Turned out we needed a new furnace. Installation went well and the team answered all of our questions thoroughly and professionally. Our only concern was clean up. The installers tried to clean up after themselves as best they could, but it was not up to our standards. We needed to do a follow up cleaning. The only other issue was a few of our flowers in our garden got stomped on when the installer needed to complete work on the outside of the house. The Daikin furnace is so much quieter than our old Trane and the house feels a lot warmer now. We'll have to wait until warmer weather to see how well the A/C works. Hopefully, it's as quiet as promised.
