We needed the drywall finished in our basement renovation project. There were some areas where the drywall was hung and others that still needed drywall. We also wanted the mudding and taping completed.

We had asked a few companies for quotes. One of them was Ralph From Calgary Systems Interiors. He came out and measured everything, looked at the existing work and estimated the material required and interviewed us to see if we would be a good fit for his services. We passed, and his very thorough estimation and explanations of how his services would work was exactly what we were looking for. It was way above the other semi-quotes of 5 minutes of looking and then giving us a cost that we had with the other vendors.

At all times Ralph was very good at keeping us updated as to what the schedule was, who would be coming when and what we needed to to to prepare. For example: have a supply of hot water for the taping, etc.

As the job progressed, we were very impressed with Ralph's crews that came out to do the work. The remaining drywall was hung in about 1/2 a day including a stairwell. ( I would have taken months to complete the stairs and probably would have fallen to my death at least a couple of times ;o)

Once the drywall was up the taper, Barry was out to do the next steps. Barry made everything look easy, he was very fast and his work was immaculate. We have a number of odd angles and bulkheads that needed extra effort and care and Barry made them look perfect. There was an area where the new drywall joined in the old (from 20+ years ago) drywall at the bottom of stairwell that Barry made look perfect.

Overall we are very pleased with the work and highly recommend Ralph and his crews.

We waited until the painting was done and the lights were hooked up to take pictures. The raw drywall didn't show the quality of work as well.

Ralph is the owner of Calgary Interior Systems and is the definition of great customer service. He understood our needs and bent over backward to find extremely competent professionals who could assist him in redoing our ceiling and repairing the damaged drywall on several walls in under a week from when I contacted him! He updated us daily on arrival times and progress of the project. Above and beyond the great job that was done, what really impressed us was the working relationship that Ralph has with the various professionals that he contracts. They respect him and he respects them. They "squeezed in" our job to their already full schedules out of their friendship and mutual respect. Ralph and all of his trades worked diligently, respectively and professional in completing the drywall to ready for paint. Ralph was hands on with each progression to ensure the worked was well done. Each member of his team took great pride in ensuring their work was the best it could be for the next progression. They even completed the work right on budget and a few days early. Over a period of 20 years, I've used the services of Calgary Interior Systems for 3 large basement developments. Two of which were walk-outs. My most recent project was a walk-out basement development in a new home we recently moved into in North Calgary. The drywall stage, in my opinion, is what will stand out at the end and reflects the quality of the project. I'm definitely picky when it comes to who does the drywall stage. Ralph has been in the business a long time and knows it well. I was pleasantly surprised to see him using the same crews that I met 10 years ago on the 2nd project I hired him for. This says a lot and means he gets consistent quality skilled work. Barry and Nathan did an amazing job on the taping and finishing. Jason, who is the ceiling texture specialist, again does a perfect job, as did Allen and his crew who installed the drywall. From start to finish, it was on time, scheduled well with great communication though-out. They were courteous, respected covid protocols and most importantly just did a great professional looking job.
